Risk Disclosure

Futures trading is risky

Trading futures such as NQ involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and never with borrowed money.

Leverage

One NQ contract moves $20 for every point of the Nasdaq-100 futures price; a normal day's range of several hundred points is several thousand dollars per contract. Because futures are leveraged, you can lose more than the money in your account.

Simulated results

Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. Real results also differ because of slippage, partial fills, delays, gaps and fees that differ from those assumed.

Win rate is not profit

A high win rate does not mean a strategy is safe. C90 won about 90% of its trades in simulation since 2020, but about 4 in 10 of its winning trades closed at $25 or less, its average loss was about 6 times its average win, and its largest single loss was $10,655 on one NQ contract. It needs about 86% to break even, and in weeks when its win rate fell below that it lost money.

Losing periods

Every plan has losing days, weeks and months. Past drawdowns do not limit future drawdowns, which can be larger.

Execution is yours

Signals and alerts are general, impersonal information. You decide whether and how to trade them, with your own broker and your own risk settings. A signal can arrive late, be missed or be wrong, and the price you get can differ from the price in the signal.

Educational alerts

Learn alerts describe market events and how similar past events played out. They are not trade signals and not a forecast.

General information and personal interest

The information is general and is not a substitute for advice that takes into account the personal data and needs of each person. Personal interest: the people behind NQ Heads may trade the same instrument, including in the same direction as a signal or the opposite one.

History, not predictions

All statistics and results we show describe the past. They are not predictions of future market behaviour or of your results.

Past performance

Past performance, simulated or real, does not guarantee future results.
